Notes : V-Ray Asset Browser is not supported for 3ds Max versions earlier than 2018 . The V-Ray Material Library can be used there by loading it from Material/Map Browser in 3ds Max material editor.

Install V-Ray:

0. Unpack the “VRay_fix.7z” archive.
1. Remove vray_v50003_fix.dlr and vray_v50003_max_fix.dll
or any other crack like vray201X.dlr, vray_zzz201X.dll, LastVRay.dlr, BlackStorm.dlr and etc.
2. Download and install V-Ray. No need to install the License Server.
In Advanced mode, uncheck the upload material libraries checkbox, which is already included in this distribution.
3. Copy vray_v50004_fix.dlr to the 3dsMax plugins dir ( C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2021 \plugins )
Or to the vrayplugins dir ( C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2021 \plugins\vrayplugins )
4. Copy vray_v50004_max_fix.dll to the V-Ray plugins dir ( C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\3ds Max 2021 \bin\plugins )
* 2021 – installed version of max.


We treat PhoenixFD:

0. Unpack the “PhoenixFD_fix.7z” archive.
1. Remove any previous crack, like phoenix_40000_fix.dlr or vray201X.dlr
2. Download and install Phoenix. No need to install the License Server (pick Remote option).
3. Copy phoenix_42000_fix.dlr to the phoenixfd dir ( C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2021 \plugins\phoenixfd )
4. Copy phoenix_previewer.exe to the bin dir ( C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\Phoenix FD\3ds Max 2021 for x64\bin )
* 2021 – installed version of max.


Turn on the ‘V-Ray Quick Settings’ window:

0. Go to the menu: Customize -> Customize User Interface …
1. Go to the tab Toolbars and create a new panel
2. In the section, Category find VRay and scroll to the end of the list
3. Find the item at the bottom of the list Quick V-Ray render settings and drag it to the panel we created in step 1.
4. And we drag this panel closer to the Vreevsky toolbar
5. Instead of a panel, you can add a command to a hotkey, quads or menu. Whom it is more convenient.
