Description : In this course, Eric Keller will show you his process of designing, modeling and texturing a realistic jumping spider. We’ll start with a simple blockout in ZBrush, you’ll see a complete pipeline of sculpting details, painting textures and creating materials in Substance Painter, getting a working topology and unwrapping in Maya, creating fur in Peregrine Lab’s Yeti, setting up lighting and rendering in Redshift for Maya.
In addition, we will look at important aspects of spider anatomy and biology that can inspire creature designers and modellers. In addition, we will look at lighting and composition techniques based on the study of macro photography of spiders and insects. This course is designed for advanced CG artists who want to expand their spider skill set and knowledge and integrate Peregrine Labs Yeti into their pipeline.
