Description : In this course, instructor Chad Robert Morgan will give us detailed instructions on how to use blendshapes (also known as morph targets), including how to use blendshape nodes, edit targets, and how to create new ones. We’ll go over the top issues that can break your blendshape, as well as top tips to help make your blendshape process more productive. We’ll look at how blendshapes can be combined with bones in an animation and what is the best order to work in to ensure correct animation. We’ll see how Mudbox can be used to create blendshapes and bring them into Maya using the OneClick tool. We’ll use the Paint Blendshape Weights tool to distribute influence zones on our blendshapes. Check out the pro’s tips on how you can use Wrap Deformers to mirror your blendshapes, as well as other useful tools in Maya. We’ll take a look at the updates available in Maya 2016 that will make it easier for us to work with blendshapes and allow us to create them without target models. Finally, we’ll see how to export our blendshapes from Maya in fbx format and import them into Unreal Engine for further animation.
