Description : For illumination of CG elements it is necessary to have certain knowledge. In this course, Adrien Valesilla will shed light on everything you need to know about lighting 3D environments, especially if you aspire to be a lighting artist.
We’ll start with the theory of light, discuss the major differences between reality and CG, as well as how to recreate natural phenomena using 3D tools. In this case, we will use Redshift, but this theory can be applied to other tools. You’ll learn how to set up lighting, optimize it, plus we’ll look at the key differences between GPU and CPU engines so you can choose your renderer wisely. At the end of the course, we will look at the compositing of all received passes in Nuke.
