How to use Khaos Tutorial video below!
3D Scanned Debris
One of the key’s too realistic explosions is the compositing of debris inside and around the initial blast.
The KHAOS add-on 3d asset database includes over 35 re-topologized 3d models and scans of common explosion debris you would find in the real world. You can select and add this explosion debris inside custom particle simulations to your scene automatically within seconds.
Add glass, metal, concrete chunks, tree branches, rocks, and more! Then… if you desire… render the debris fields out separately to composite them seamlessly with the VFX compositor of your choice!
Customizable smoke domain material
So you want fire included in the explosion or not. Whether you want a dust blast or a fiery explosion Khaos has presets materials to get you the result you want. Once added to your scene you can adjust the settings further to get a more specific look if desired!
The KHAOS add-on builds it’s parameters upon Blender 3d particle systems. Because of this there are nearly unlimited options for the user to customize their explosion systems even after the particle systems are added through the add-on.
Create the base of your Custom Explosion in 4 steps!
Important Note and frequently asked question: YOU STILL HAVE TO BAKE IN BLENDER: Khaos is here to add the particle systems you want to use inside of your back more efficiently. It is not its own smoke simulator.
