Description : I am glad to present you my new course dedicated to the Vellum solver in Houdini.
What can be said about Vellum? So, once Vellum was implemented in Houdini, it became much more powerful and self-contained as it expanded Houdini’s list of capabilities to perform many types of simulations, namely cloth, hair, soft bodies, and granules.
Of course, it was possible to perform such tasks before, but Vellum has revolutionized these areas, introduced a new approach to solving such problems, and has great potential.
Now, let’s talk about this course.
First, I want to point out that these tutorials are based entirely on the documentation.
Throughout the course, we will analyze all the characteristics of Vellum fabric, as it is done in the documentation, without any exceptions.
Also in the process, we will touch on many settings of the solver and, of course, we will also study them in detail.
We will also be manipulating the cloth properties in different ways, and all of this can be applied to all Vellum types.
I have used 33 simple example files to explain and visualize the meaning of these properties in detail, and since most of these properties are common to other types of Vellum Constraints, this will give you a broader overview.
After this course, you will have an excellent foundation for further study of Vellum.
