Cinema 4D Training – learn. Mastering Materials

This is the first in a series of tutorials for Mastering materials in Cinema 4D, Tim Clapham walks through the processes of building his own procedural materials using the Cinema4d shader system. All of the materials you’ll make when following this tutorial are 100% procedural, meaning they don’t use any textures and instead rely on tricks and techniques to manipulate Cinema4d native shaders. The advantage of creating procedural textures is that they are calculated mathematically and thus can be scaled to fit any model and often tile easily without having to prepare a UV map on your model. All materials are developed on suitable models, which are supplied as part of the package and are free to use in projects yourself. The series comes with each scene complete, so you can apply the materials directly to your own projects or use them to cross-reference settings as you complete the tutorial.
