Hardware:
ARM64 or X64 processor; It is recommended four -core or better.
ARM 32 processors are not supported.
At least 4 GB of RAM.
Many factors affect the resources used; For typical professional solutions, we recommend 16 GB of RAM.
Windows 365: at least 2 VCPU and 8 GB of RAM. 4 VCPU and 16 GB of RAM is recommended.
Place on the hard drive: at least 850 MB to 210 GB of free space depending on the installed functions;
Typical installations require 20-50 GB of free space.
We recommend installing Windows and Visual Studio on a solid -state drive (SSD) to increase performance.
A video card that supports the minimum resolution of the WXGA screen (1366 x 768);
Visual Studio will work best with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 or higher.
The minimum resolution suggests that the scaling, dpi settings and the scaling of the text are 100%installed.
If you are not 100%set, the minimum resolution should be scaled accordingly.
For example, if you set the Windows display parameter “Laugh and layout” on your Surface Book,
which has a physical display of 3000×2000, by 200%, then Visual Studio will see the logical resolution of the screen 1500×1000,
which meets the minimum requirement of 1366×768.

Additional requirements and recommendations:
The Visual Studio installation or update requires administrator rights.
The installation of Visual Studio requires .NET FRAMEWORK 4.7.2 or higher.
To install Visual Studio version 17.8 and earlier versions, the .NET Framework 4.5.2 or higher is required.
Visual Studio requires .NET FRAMEWORK 4.8. If .NET Framework 4.8 has not yet been installed, it will be installed during installation.
Windows 10 is required to develop universal Windows, including design, editing and debugging.
Windows Server 2019 and Windows Server 2016 can be used to create universal Windows -line Windows applications.
The installation of Visual Studio requires the WEBVIEW2 implementation environment.
If it is not yet installed, it will be installed during installation.
The installation of Visual Studio will fail if WebView2 cannot be successfully installed (due to the error of installation or restrictions on the group policy for installation or updating).
The integration of Team Foundation Server 2019 Office requires Office 2016, Office 2013 or Office 2010.
Smart App Control, which is a Windows function, is not recommended to include developers on computers.
Any setting that is different from “OFF” can negatively affect the performance of Visual Studio.
