Pikachu is a creature from the Pokemon series of games, manga, and anime.

Pikachu evolves from another Pokémon, Pichu, and Pikachu itself can subsequently evolve into Raichu. In the fictional world of Pokémon, Pikachu often lives in houses, forests, plains, sometimes mountains and islands, as well as abandoned power plants around the world. Being an Electric-type Pokémon, Pikachu can store electricity in its cheeks and use it to attack when necessary. The in-game Pokédex, as well as the Pokédex in the anime, states that Pikachu is a mouse Pokémon.
