Download and install the adobe program you want, using one of these two methods and then apply the patch.

Method 1(recommended, signed in is a must for all features in 2021 versions and october updates )

Patch instructions :
Run patch as admin.
1. Advanced mode
It starts in “Manual mode”: Manual mode is required for 2021 versions( make sure to point to correct location for the patch)
Use it if you have custom installation path or want to patch just some specific apps.
Select Apps and push “Pill” button . You will be prompted with “File selection dialog”.
Point to install location . Wait until its done. (Shows manual mode again)
2. Automatic mode .(not for 2021 version)
If you’ve installed Apps in default locations then click on CC2019 or CC2020 button.
GenP will try to find and select apps for you . Then push “Pill” button
(If you don’t want to patch all selected apps , just unselect something and push “Pill” button)
Wait until its done. (Shows manual mode again)
If you are having problems , reinstall and start fresh to use the latest patch

5. Creative cloud app universal patches (Allows access to previous and beta apps)

Limitations

-Lightroom …Buy it if you need it
-Rush online only
-Muse, Flash Builder, Speed Grade won’t be supported in GenP (They are too old)
-Adobe Fresco added . Keep in mind that program will work only if you are signed-in.
-If you see message in GenP “file is not vanilla” , don’t panic)
It means one of two things:
A-File was patched before or
B-Some crucial pattern was changed and GenP needs to be updated.

Automated way to stop the services

This will:
Kill the various AGS processes
Stop the services
Change the service types to ‘Disabled’
Rename the various AGS files to add a .bak extension to them (thus disabling it)
Runs silently in the background (briefly each time it is ran)

Even with all of the above being done, I notice AGS seems to reinstall and run itself, so I’ve set this exe to be run every day via task scheduler. This seems to eliminate the pop up for me. Hopefully this helps someone else too.

B-Manual way to stop and disable services(example)

Sometimes it restarts the services after reboot, or updates , so keep an eye.. you can also try deleting, renaming or blocking in firewall..have a better way, post it please.
