Concept and features
The character concept “Survivor”, created by Valeria Klyukina, takes us to a post-apocalyptic world where people fight for survival among mutant zombies.
In training we will focus on hyper-realistic texturing and fabric simulation. A sculpture of a woman’s head will be created using techniques to achieve a photographic resemblance. Then, using Unreal Engine, we will add a facial rig and realistic materials for the skin, scratches and abrasions.
We will create the hair using a game pipeline using texture maps and dies using Maya and FiberShop tools. Additionally, we will look at body rigging and new rigging capabilities in Unreal.
