Description:
Xojo (formerly Real Studio, and even earlier Real Basic) is an object-oriented, cross-platform, visual application development environment for Mac OS X, Linux, Windows, iOS and Raspberry PI, which allows you to develop convenient and lightweight applications, utilities (including console) and Web applications, with the ability to support the most popular databases.
The application has all the necessary attributes of the RAD (Rapid Application Development) environment. The development environment has a very good visual GUI (Graphical User Interface) editor and its own component library, which contains more than fifty general-purpose visual components, not counting various components from third-party developers. I will say right away that you cannot write your own components in the environment itself. This development environment differs from the same Visual Basic and Delphi, although for certain applications this is not necessary. Custom plugins can be written using C/C++, which in my opinion is a significant drawback that affects Xojo’s wider popularity.
