Vuescan – the program is designed to replace the standard scanner interface with its own, functionally richer and providing a lot of additional capabilities depending on the specific model of the scanner. In most cases, the standard device driver has extremely limited possibilities for adjusting scan parameters. Using often the hidden capabilities of a particular scanner, the program allows you to flexibly configure the image processing process, including developed color correction, the capabilities of multi -pass and package scanning, hardware adjustment of the exposure, the choice of maximum color depth and the format of stored files.
Vuescan supports more than 7400 models of scanners and RAW files of 185 digital camera models.
- Of great interest is the function of maintaining the initial data of the scanner to the file (RAW File) and the subsequent processing of these data with the device off, which eliminates the need for re -scanning of the originals and increases the equipment resource.
The use of Vuescan is especially relevant when working with transparent originals (negatives, slides), because The program contains information about the color characteristics of more than 150 types of films. It is, first of all, about the mask of color negative, which can be very different in different films and manufacturers. The program provides for a direct choice of a mask from the list of common films, as well as the possibility of manual adjustment of the color components of the masking layer.
User settings can be saved in a special file, which allows you to create individual profiles for each type of work.
