Description : This course is for animators who want to focus on creating first person animations to be used in a game project. Veteran game developer Bill Buckley demonstrates the techniques and practices he has used throughout his career in AAA FPS games. He emphasizes the importance of creating a clear workflow in order to create a clear gameplay experience. Bill uses the first person template project that Unreal provides, which means the animator can jump right into checking their animation without having to worry about coding. Bill will start by creating an idl animation that is used as a starting point for all other animations created. He will then create a shooting and reloading animation for which he uses both the character and the cannon. He will then show you how to successfully bring these assets into Unreal while maintaining precise points of contact and timing. Bill also shows you how to manipulate existing blue prints in Unreal while maintaining precise animation timing and points where your objects should touch (gun and arms). This course is a must for any animator who has a desire to become an integral part of first person shooter development.
