FD UVToolkit is a plugin that makes your UV unwrapping workflow easier in Cinema4D.
Instead of going through in a lot of settings to unwrap an object, with FD UVToolkit you just need three simple steps to unwrap it:
- Select the object and press “Reset UVW Tag” button.
- Select the edges you want the seams to be.
- Click “Unwrap UV with LSCM”.
Done! it’s simple as that.
The complete list of tools included in this package is:
Resets the UVW tag of every selected object.
Delete the UVW tag of every selected object.
Create a UVW tag for every selected object.
Assign a checkerboard material to the selected objects.
Is possible to choose the size of the map from 256px to 8K, so you can see if you have enough resolution for your final texture.
Also you can increase/decrease the contrast and brightness quickly using hotkeys.
The Checkerboard textures come with characters on it, making it easier to spot
flipped UV. Also its low contrast makes easier to see the wireframe of your object.

It uses the C4D LCSM UVW algorithm, gives better results in hardsurface shapes.

A Quick shortcut to pack the UV islands.
By default it equalize UV island sizes, keeping your object with uniform texel density.
Opens a window containing quick actions to transform UVs.
Move, scale and rotate in increments.
Also useful to position UVs in UDIMS spaces.
Align horizontally the selected UV points.
Align vertically the selected UV points.
It works for C4D R18, R19, R20, R21, S22, R23 and S24 !
